2nd K-UE Alpine Tour
From 23 to 31 July 2010, the beetles made South Tyrol unsafe! 30 beetles crawled through the Dolomites for a week.
Part I: We go on holiday with the Beetle like in the 60s...
Selected routes such as the all-day long Dolomite drive (approx. 240 km), the Dolomite round trip (approx. 160 km) with the Alpe di Siusi (special permit), Tramin with the Mendola Pass are just some of the highlights of this unique experience. The Beetles mastered more than 30 passes as they did in the 50s and 60s. The enthusiasm of the participants was always intoxicating. There is a separate documentation on this; a photo book and a film.
Part 2: Tour of the Lake Garda
Following the second K-UE Alpine tour, 10 Beetles explored Lake Garda until 7 August 2010. In several day trips, they not only drove around the lake, but also climbed the mountains around the lake. Steep passes with magnificent views of the lake provided the necessary adrenaline. Compared to the Dolomite tour, there was still room for improvement!
