Social commitment of the K-UE
At our 15th K-UE Beetle meeting from 18 - 21 May 2018, our long-standing club member Ulrich Röhe made the suggestion to thank Christel Köhler in particular on the board for her social activities in the Beetle Club. This resulted in a spontaneous collection, which Christel forwarded to the HEPHATA Protestant Foundation in Mönchengladbach.
The management was very grateful for this and implemented the donation on 17 October 2018 with a visit to the zoo in the Netherlands (Overloon). Christel and Walter Köhler were invited and accompanied the three VW buses with their Beetle. The special thing about this zoo is that the animals have large runs and are not enclosed by fences. This makes you feel much closer to the animals. What a joy the K-UE Club has brought to the disabled! A day full of experiences and great enthusiasm.
