TECHNO CLASSICA 2022

The name 'TDE' (Theo Decker Essen) is well known among air-cooled VW enthusiasts. Theo Decker tuned the Beetles with passion to the delight of many Beetle drivers. Even today, 'TDE' is a household name among air-cooled enthusiasts. Our club members Erwin and Jörg Kock have a TDE Beetle in their collection, which they have kindly made available to the club for the exhibition. Many thanks to them.

To bring the concept of TDE even closer to the visitors, Isolde Decker, wife of the late Theo Decker, has provided the club with a tuned high-performance Beetle engine for the show. The engine is on loan from the Volkswagen Museum Foundation in Wolfsburg and will be transported from Wolfsburg to the K-UE Club stand in Essen.
Isolde Decker will be visiting the Club stand several times during the show. She will be signing autographs for her book 'First Lady of Speed'. The Club Committee would like to thank Isolde Decker, who is also the editor of the booklet 'Where to meet in the Beetle & Co Scene'.

Our Última Edición Club honours the name of the last special edition Beetle ever built. An aqua blue Última Edición Beetle, purchased for the club by the committee, will be on display at the show. This, together with the Snap Orange one-off and the Harvest Moon beige UE, gives our club a unique selling point worldwide!
